    Cassette + Digital Album

What you hear here, with slight variation, lovingly duplicated by hand on white, C-47 Professional Premium Plus cassettes, purchased from a preacher who had decided to convert himself to virtual. Each cassette is unique, made to order, hand-numbered and hand-decorated. The package will include, in addition to the cassette: a new collage, and various other bits of crap.

The music itself will vary slightly from tape to tape. Due to the fact that the C-47 tape is approximately 7 minutes longer than the digital version here, there will be one-off improvisations to fill out the space.

    Only 8 copies are available.

(Note: I put a high price on shipping outside of the US because it seems like that always costs a lot. You can contact me if you want to discuss and you don't live here.)

about

An album finished in late 2021, briefly shelved when Madhog made some goddamn comment about swirly sounds, leading the effervescent Kingo to take out scissors and begin cutting swirls off of wave forms. Eventually a compromise was reached in the form of no one knowing what version of what is the fuck on anything.

The songs were recorded in improvised sessions between some date and some other date. To whit:

The thing about Chickens is from the Plaste Faste 2.0 sessions, in 2006 at Jenga's House of Woche.
The Host Body originally rejected me during SecondPaste, or Second Paste Four Track, in 2007 at The Garage.
Sacky ranted about Downtown when he was having some kind of stroke in 2012 (everything always continues to happen in 2012) in/on/below a Rip in the Fabric of Time during the ThreeHourSetup sessions, wherein we recorded using that dude from Toad the Wet Sprockets' mixing board, which Sacky won by writing a poem, and transported (without crossing any state lines) many hours in order to try to hook shit up, which probably took more than 3 hours actually. Downtown was THEN folded two times, in half during the Folded Twice in Half sessions in 2020. Back at that Color Wall.
Madhog decided I'll Been Leaving You while trying not to break the guitolin, which my mom got me as an acoustic guitar to learn on way back when I wanted an electric guitar when I was like 9 and then at some point I drilled holes in it and it turned into something else, during the It's Now sessions at Color Wall in 2010 (the guitolin was built a long time before that.
Fanch said Hey. Hey. Hey? and had a melted dinner (which was almost the name of this album, but it had fewer letters and we needed to get rid of some in order to game the budget system at the end of the year) during those same It's Now sessions.
Pigeons is from the Another Reason for Loneliness sessions at the Color Wall in 2018, I'm not sure what was going wrong with me at the time, but I think it's slightly different from whatever's going wrong with me now.
Side 2 (play along, here, guys, come on. This was mixed to be a tape, but then life happened. Life happens. You can order it that way and it'll fucking rock, but just. Side 2. We're on side 2) starts with some more stuff that's been folded twice in half, which I've already described. I'm just trying to get along. Trying to get along.
Greenstain Congregant (if you listen close you can hear the original lyrics sometimes) was recorded during the Formula 8 sessions, which, unfortunately, happened in 2009 in the Color Wall, with that closet under the stairs. Apertome sat there on the couch with his vocoder keys manipulating the sounds coming out of my face, which was fucking weird.
Walked Around Dead is very old, and that's why it's walking around dead. You'd have to read a whole lot more than you've already had to read here if I explained the entire path that thing took to end up tacked onto the end of this monstrosity here. Some highlights: we put together this split release with some Canadian band called Anomalies, or Anomolies (I think they spelled it that way) who we met through mp3 dot com (seriously, that was a thing.). It was originally improvised at All the Way Up to God around 2001 or 2002 during the First Osh sessions.

All of this was wobbled somewhat at the end of 2021, as I mentioned, shoved together, cut up, uncut up, recut up, remixed, unremixed, panned one way or another, pulled out of the trash after it was tossed there in a fit of confusion, or loss, or sadness, or trademark concerns.
